Good health is not just something you measure.
It's something you live.

You might be in the right place

If you've quietly opted out
of the women's wellness internet — welcome.

Health by Hanna is the women's health writing I wanted and couldn't find. Now it's here. You're welcome.

What you'll find here

Strong bones.
Strong heart.
Strong relationships.

Three anchors that shape the writing here. Not a protocol. Not a framework. The unglamorous things that actually hold a life together — which, conveniently, are also the ones the research keeps confirming.

Hormones, in Perspective

Hormones matter.
They're just not
the cause of everything.

Data, Without Obsession

Your data is useful
until it becomes
a second job.

Labs, wearables, cycle apps — genuinely useful, right up until they replace actually listening to your body. Also: most medical reference ranges were built on men. Which is annoying.

Hanna am Schreibtisch mit Laptop und Büchern
Who writes this

Hello, I'm Hanna.

I'm not a doctor. I'm a researcher and writer who got quite tired of the state of women's health content — the infantilising, the fear-mongering, the supplement-adjacent, and the ever-present suggestion that your hormones are secretly responsible for everything.

Every essay is sourced from peer-reviewed research, honest about what's still unknown, and has to pass one small test: would I send this to my sister without apologising? If no, it doesn't make the site.

No nonsense.

Every week, one properly written essay on strength, energy, hormones, or the general state of women's health. Occasionally cross. Frequently evidence-based. Never a funnel.
